Herron Custom Paint

Back
This car came to us in primer. All we did was block it down, reprime it and wetblock it and paint it orange. Then it was wetsanded, airbrushed and cleared again.

The owner does not have tires and wheels for it yet. He is going to put the lights in it and the doors together. This is strictly a drag car but in the class he races it has to have lights and factory glass. When he gets it done I will update the photos.

The car was painted in Dupont Chromabase with Hor Hues 5100 clear. The color is 738124K Competition Orange. The fire was all done in House of Kolor Kandys then cleared again.
The real fire over orange was different from what I normally do. I added alot more red candy to this so it would show up better.
These colors show up alot better in person outside in the sun. The camera just does not pick it all up.
This was not done as a show car. It was done to be a nice looking race car.At the owners request we did not even polish this job. There was 136 hours in it from start to finish. Thats pretty fast to paint and airbrush a complete car.
