 | We were brought this new cowl hood and a the original flamed hood as a reference. We painted and flamed this hood to match the original hood only better. | |
 | This hood had to be sanded, some minor bodywork done and then primed. Then the bottom was painted. Then the top was painted and cleared with the dark color. | |
 | After the hood was painted with the dark color top and bottom it was sanded with 1000 grit and then the flames were painted and it was cleared again. | |
 | I wasa told to put SS on both sides of the scoop. | |
 | After the flames were painted and the hood was cleared again it was blocked down to remove tape lines and then polished to a glass finish. | |
 | I had no paint codes to do this job. All I had was the old hood that was on the car. I did not have the car to line up the flames on the new hood either. | |
 | This was a pretty tricky deal with no car to use for fit and no paint codes buit I think we got it pretty close. | |
 | This job was done in all Dupont. Chromabase and Chromapremier clear was used. There was a total of 22 hours in this job start to finish. | |
