There it is all back together. Bruce took this one apart and put it back together himself. We just done the paint work. 
He got it back together without any scratches too!!! 
The first trip with the new paint. He called me and told me he has had it to 160 mph already and had to slow down because of traffic. I asked if he had a good lawyer. 

This is the tank on Bruce's Yamaha FZ6.

 
The left side farring. These pieces are not even available in the U.S. Bruce had to jump through some hoops to get these. I think they come from canada. 
The right side farring. These pieces are what is really going to set this bike apart. Try to find another on that has these on it. There wont be many of them.

The basic idea here was a patriotic theme. We wanted to stick with red white and blue but not do a traditional flag type paint sceme.

The front farring. the original red was used as the base color. Then some creative masking and wild airbrushing and here you are. 
I started by using 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 in. fineline tape masked in a haphazard pattern. Then HOK Royal blue, then some of my own blue pearl mix, then stars, then unmask and tons of freehand airbrushing. 
This bike is fast and we wanted it to look fast when it was sitting still. The stars were done in such a way as to appear to be getting blown apart by the wind. 
After the airbrush work was all done I used the cobalt blue kandy to get the depth. 
The colors used were the original red on the bike, then House of Kolor royal blue, white, cobalt blue kandy and a blue pearl mix of my own creation. 

All the parts were cleared with Dupont Chromapremier clear. Then they were sanded and polished.

 
The front fender and the side covers. 
One of the side covers. These were originally black. I sprayed them red and cleared them. Then they were sanded down and airbrushed and recleared. 
I really like how these little side covers turned out. They really make the bike look like its going fast.These are some hard parts to take pictures of though. 
The rear of the tank. There was a total of 68.75 hours in this job start to finish.
